Bio: 

Dr. Oguzhan Batmaz, Assistant Professor of Economics, earned his MA and PhD in Economics from the University of Kansas. His research focuses on macroeconomics, international economics, and energy/environmental economics. Some of Oguzhan’s current research includes studies on Preference Reversal and Quantitative Easing, Antidumping and Delivery Terms in Imports, and Modeling the Dynamic Linkage between Renewable Energy Consumption and Environmental Quality in the US: Does Economic Political Uncertainty Matter?

Oguzhan is also interested in guiding students in areas such as monetary economics, environmental economics, and international finance. He has served as a referee for several reputable peer-reviewed journals, including the Eastern Economic Journal, Innovation and Development, and The Australian Economic Review.

Originally from Turkey, Oguzhan is grateful to share his life with his wonderful wife and two children. He loves spending time with family and friends and enjoys biking, hiking, and playing soccer.
