Joliet Women抯 History is Preserved Through Adelmann Regional History Collection Internship

The Joliet reaction during historic times, such as Jewish refugees fleeing Europe in 1939, is better preserved in the Adelmann Regional History Collection at 蜜桃传媒最新版下载 University, thanks to a 蜜桃传媒最新版下载 University History Student Vaughn Payne and team.
During his recent internship, he digitized the minutes of the Joliet Woman抯 Study Club. Founded in the 1890s, the organization provided educational opportunities for women, which was limited at the time. The club documents cover their day-to-day operation but also refer to historical events.
揟his internship helped me to develop my historical skills and knowledge,� said Payne, who is preparing for a career in the museum field.
Vaughn earned three credit hours for the 150 hours he spent in the collection. He then went on to work as a paid intern this semester.
