Explore Joliet’s African American History February 25

´³´Ç¾±²Ô ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½×îаæÏÂÔØ University’s History Center and Warren-Sharpe Community Center in Joliet to learn about nearby African American History. Morgan Jennings, a ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½×îаæÏÂÔØ University history major, will present a program: “From the Past to the Future: Reclaiming the African American Narrative,” The free program is at 11 a.m. February 25 at Warren-Sharpe Community Center, 454 S. Joliet Street, Joliet, Illinois.

“It is really exciting to be speaking in the Joliet community. We have enjoyed working with our four community partners and are so thankful to the Donnelley Foundation for their support of this project. This will be a fun event," Jennings commented.

In addition to the brief presentation, attendees can explore the newly created banner exhibit, view a video presentation on the history of Warren-Sharpe Community Center, create items at the arts-and-crafts tables, and enjoy a lunch reception.
