ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½×îаæÏÂÔØ students promote preservation “We Love Our Site” campaign

ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½×îаæÏÂÔØ University students are encouraging Gaylord Building visitors to express their love for the site. It is part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation “We Love Our Site” campaign, which promotes demonstrations of love for a historic site through valentines. ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½×îаæÏÂÔØ University students Laura Pratt, graduate assistant, and Samantha Glackin, ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½×îаæÏÂÔØ University History Center student worker, took part in this lighthearted campaign at the Gaylord Building, which is owned by the National Trust.

“Often we can take historic places or downtowns for granted. This fun program lets us shine a light on places that are at the heart of our communities,” said Pratt. She continued, “Over two days, Sam (Glackin) and I encouraged visitors to make a valentine and take their picture near their favorite part of the building.” The photographs will be part of the NTHP’s website through the month of February.
